MPR’s Lynette Nyman reports that Khoua Her, a St. Paul woman accused of killing her six children, changed her original plea to guilty of six counts of second degree murder. Her now faces a fifty-year prison term.
For the second time in two weeks, Khoua Her sat before Judge Charles Flynn in a Ramsey County courtroom. Judge Flynn read the names of the six children and their birthdates. After each, Her sobbed and said "guilty." Ramsey County Public Defender Bruce Wenger, who was developing a mental illness defense, says changing the plea was a very difficult decision that only Khoua Her could make.
