July 4, 2001 - Patriotism ran high in Blaine a day ahead of Independence Day. A record 15-thousand soccer fans turned out at the National Sports Center to wave Old Glory and cheer the U-S national women's team in its one to nothing victory over Canada in a holiday exhibition match. Minnesota Public Radio's William Wilcoxen has more.
February 2, 2005 - Midday presents A Writer's View program on true crime. Minnesota author Judith Guest is drawn to the dark side of life. She loves reading the most lurid tales from the daily newspapers, both the kidnappings and the murders. Her latest novel, "The Tarnished Eye," is based on the real-life unsolved killings of a father, mother, and their four children.
May 7, 2005 - MPR’s Dan Olson interviews Ric Jost, a disabled veteran who is competing in the 2005 National Veterans Wheelchair Games held in Minnesota. Jost shares how the games help build the self-confidence to cope with his disability. This is the 25th National Veterans Wheelchair Games, but the first held in Minnesota.

July 2, 2008 - MPR’s Mark Steil reports on Ali Bernard, the first Minnesota female Olympian to come out of the state's high school wrestling program.
February 4, 2010 - In 2010, twenty athletes from Minnesota participated in the Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, 7 of which were curlers. Two of them, Allison Pottinger and John Benton, talked with MPR’s Cathy Wurzer about the upcoming Olympics and how they felt about representing their state.
September 13, 2022 - MPR’s Cathy Wurzer interviews Jessica Edwards on her new documentary, Skate Dreams. This documentary premiered in Minnesota at the end of September in 2022 at the Duluth Superior Film Festival. Skate Dreams by Jessica Edwards follows the rise of women’s skateboarding. It’s the first feature documentary to capture the story behind the rise of women’s skateboarding.
