On this The Daily Circuit program, MPR’s Tom Weber talks with Lee Pao Xiong and Chia Youyee Vang about the history of the Hmong migration to the U.S…a history that some are unaware of 40 years after the first arrivals.

Lee Pao Xiong is director of the Center for Hmong Studies at Concordia University-St. Paul. He's also been helping the Minnesota History Center with an exhibit called "We Are Hmong Minnesota" 

Chia Youyee Vang is an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She grew up in St. Paul, has degrees from the University of Minnesota and is author of "Hmong in Minnesota."
