MPR’s Lorna Benson talks with composer Cooper Moore on his music direction of "The Darker Face of the Earth."

The Guthrie Theater and Penumbra Theatre Company do a joint production of poet laureate Rita Dove's play "The Darker Face of the Earth." It's a retelling of the Oedipus story set on a southern slave plantation. For this production the Guthrie has brought in Penumbra founder Lou Bellamy to direct the show and New York jazz artist and composer Cooper Moore to direct the music.
