MPR’s Chris Roberts interviews Paul Robb, former member of Information Society. Robb discusses various sub-genres; bands Brother Sun Sister and Think Tank; and mentions Alan Freed’s Beat Radio.
Robb and his dance-oriented synthesizer group were probably more popular on both coasts, Latin America and Europe then in Minneapolis, and even scored a number one Billboard hit in the late eighties. Robb has since parted ways with Information Society and is back home in Minnesota with a new mission; to launch a record company called Hakatak International, devoted to electronic dance music. Segment contains techno music clips.
