An unknown interviewee reflects on the sports life of Bob Johnson, a famous hockey player and coach, who passed away on November 26th, 1991. Johnson’s impact on the sport spanned decades and included high school, college, NHL, and Olympics.
A Minneapolis native, Johnson played left wing for the Gopher Hockey team from 1954-55 under legendary Coach John Mariucci. Johnson was coach for numerous Minnesota high school organizations, Colorado College, and University of Wisconsin…leading them to seven NCAA tournaments and becoming known there as "Badger Bob." In the NHL, he coached both the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins.
