Fears have faded over whether farmers would have a market for genetically modified crops. In fact farmers seem to embrace the new technology. South Dakota leads the nation in the number of acres planted with GMO corn. Nearly half of the four million corn acres planted this year are considered genetically altered. Farmers say the new technology is worth fighting for because they get higher yields at a time when prices are low. Mainstreet Radio's Cara Hetland reports:
