Health researchers say Minnesota's tobacco settlement offers an unprecendented chance to reduce teen smoking. The settlement includes a first-ever court ordered ban on marketing to kids. Tobacco companies can no longer give away or sell promotional products like t-shirts or gym bags with cigarette logos on them. Tobacco billboards will be coming down in Minnesota and tobacco companies can't make secret payments for product placement in American movies. The settlement also provides money for stop-smoking programs for children and adults and funds more anti-tobacco research.
