The U.S. Forest Service is still on standby near the Little Alfie logging site, as preparations continue to cut some 6000 old red pine. Protesters failed once again to get a legal hold placed on the cutting when the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declined to issue an injunction this morning. While protesters gathered in downtown Minneapolis , they did not appear at the Little Alfie Site in the Superior National Forest.
