Small town cafes are fading away quietly. They're being replaced by fast-food restaurants. The local cafe is more than just a place to eat. It's a place to get together with neighbors and catch-up on the latest news around town. St. Peter artist Charles Waterman is putting together a book based on sketches he's drawn at cafes in southern Minnesota. Many of the drawings are of customers at a cafe called Elmer's, located in Le Center since the 1940's. Minnesota Public Radio's Holly Nelson reports.
