March 10, 2008 - The warmer weather has some Minnesotans wondering whether we might finally be headed for spring. Morning Edition commentator Peter Smith is looking ahead to his spring exercise program, and he says it's not going to be pretty.

Texas and Ohio are the next big contests in the Democratic race for president. So far, the candidates have generally been civil to one another, despite the tight contest. But commentator Peter Smith says that could be about to change.
October 24, 2007 - The weather should be perfect today to get outside and do some yard work... maybe mow the grass or rakes your leaves. Of course you can't rake leaves that haven't fallen to the ground yet. This is a dilemma for commentator Peter Smith who lives in Hopkins. It seems that every year he can't quite get all his leaves raked before the city stops collecting them in mid-November. It's become such a problem that he's decided to write a letter of complaint to city officials.
September 14, 2007 - The Minnesota Department of Tourism reports that birch and aspen trees in the northeastern part of the state are starting to show their fall colors. The north shore is known as a particularly pretty part of Minnesota this time of year, but commentator Peter Smith says for even better scenery, you need to cross the state line.
September 3, 2007 - This week, many Minnesota students will head back to school. Peter Smith and his wife will see their kids off to college. Their son will be a freshman at Hamline University this fall, and their daughter will be a junior at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. Peter expects big changes when the kids leave.
