August 14, 2007 - No bodies were recovered Monday from the 35W bridge site in the Mississippi River. Four people remain missing. Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek says recovery efforts have been hampered by the weather. He says the faster current makes it difficult for the divers to maneuver underwater. Stanek says the strong current has also carried items from the collapse site downstream. He is asking the public to call the Sheriff's office if they find anything in the river.

August 8, 2007 - As some family members have begun to bury their loved ones who died in last week's I-35W bridge collapse, still others wait to learn the fate of those who remain lost. The recovery mission continues with teams of Navy salvage divers who have joined the effort to find more victims. For the people who watched the tragedy unfold on their television sets, last night's National Night Out get together in Minneapolis proved to be a way for some residents living by the river to express their grief and hopes for healing the city. August 2, 2007 - Yesterday's bridge collapse offered many dramatic images. One of the most horrifying may have been the sight of a yellow school bus stranded on a section of the bridge. Dozens of Minneapolis school children were returning from a field trip when their bus fell from the bridge. According to witnesses, all the children made it out of the bus through the rear emergency exit, some sustained only minor injuries. Minnesota Public Radio's Marisa Helms reports.

May 30, 2007 - St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman is criticizing Governor Tim Pawlenty's plans to veto a tax bill that includes millions of dollars in funding for St. Paul and many other Minnesota cities. Coleman says the governor won't have to face any of the tough decisions his veto will force city officials to confront, such as laying off police officers. But the Governor has not waivered from his pledge to veto the bill. Minnesota Public Radio's Marisa Helms reports.
April 16, 2007 - The Metropolitan Airports Commission today beefed up penalties for cab drivers who decline to serve a customer. The Commission was responding to passenger complaints about Muslim cab drivers refusing to serve passengers carrying alcohol. The MAC says there have been nearly 5,000 cases since 2002 in which a cab driver refused to transport a customer who had or was suspected of having alcohol. Minnesota Public Radio's Marisa Helms reports.
