December 6, 2001 - Data security specialists and federal law enforcement officials are intensifying efforts to combat cyberterrorism since September 11. On Wednesday, a group gathered to discuss the security of corporate computer systems at an information technology conference held in Minneapolis. They offered advice to corporate security personnel on how to protect their data from hackers, terrorists and viruses. And they say new anti-terrorist legislation will make it easier for corporations to catch people who try to infiltrate their networks. Minnesota Public Radio's Brandt Williams reports
November 16, 2001 - “The Color of Justice: The News Disparities” is part five of an MPR special series which investigates the racial disparity in Minnesota’s criminal justice system. Discussions of race and the criminal justice system tend to focus on the disproportionate rates at which African Americans are arrested and jailed. However, the growth of Latinos, Hmong, and Somali in Minnesota has broadened the scope of the disparities issue.

During this month Muslims in Minnesota join those around the world in refraining from food and drink from sun up to sundown. However, Muslims say Ramadan is more than just a time to deny themselves life's sensual pleasures. They say Ramadan is an opportunity for Muslims to gain perspective on their lives.
