August 25, 1978 - MPR's Pat Kessler interviews Father Urban Wagner, vice chancellor and Vicar for Religious in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, who discusses the selection of a new Pope.
September 22, 1978 - MPR’s Brigid Shea interviews Zig Ziglar, author and Christian motivational speaker, who discusses pop Christianity, combining positive thinking, success, and monetary rewards. Program includes excerpts of Ziglar speeches and interviews with members at his events.
October 9, 1978 - Rabbi Mordecai Miller of Temple of Aaron in Saint Paul discusses the traditions of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Program also contains music segments.
November 7, 1978 - Highlights from American Lutheran Church Convention held recently in Moorhead. Program includes conversations with Dr. Paul Wee, General Secretary for Lutheran World Ministries; Bishop Josiah Kibira of Tanzania, president of the Lutheran World Federation; and Dr. Keith Bridston about conflict in Rhodesia, South Africa and Namibia. At convention, church delegates considered whether the church should divest itself of holdings it has in companies which do business in South Africa. Program begins with a report on current situation in Africa.
February 15, 1979 - Poets Joe and Nancy Paddock share their impressions on the sale of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Taunton Minnesota. Also speaking are Vicki Sturgeon and other church members.
June 11, 1979 - Harvey Cox, author and theology professor at Harvard Divinity School, speaking at the Unity Unitarian Church in St. Paul. His discussion of new religious movements included what he considers to be the two most important theological movements of our time: dialogical theology and liberation theology. Dr. Cox discussed each movement, and then explained how he believed they related to one another. Cox was considered by many to be the most radical theologian of the day in America.
