September 19, 1974 - The Council of American Witches hold their fourth convention in Minneapolis. Chairman Carl Weschcke says witches are socially conscious people, wanting to save mankind from self-destruction.
November 29, 1974 - Clyde Bellecourt was invited to participate in an international meeting of the World Council of Churches at Montreux, Switzerland, the first WCC to invite representation by Native Americans. He says the principal goal is to elicit support for American Indian treaty rights.

February 3, 1975 - MPR’s Kevin McKiernan reports on announcement of settlement after a month long Alexian monastery occupation. Early Sunday evening, Brother Maurice Wilson read statement of agreement to end novitiate occupation. Alexians will convey title of novitiate to Menominee Indian tribe in an attempt to prevent further violence. Deed will be transferred to new tribal government.
October 17, 1975 - Langdon Gilkey, professor of theology at the Divinity School at the University of Chicago, speaking at the Nobel Conference XI, held in St. Peter, MN. Gilkey’s address was titled “The Future of Science.” Gilkey is author of numerous books, including "Maker of Heaven and Earth", "How the World Can Minister to the World Without Losing Itself", and "Religion and the Scientific Future."
